I love all the ideas here. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 9 years Until recently I haven’t had a need to work from home. I would really love to do something that is flexible and strictly online due to having a critically ill child at home. My passion is research for financial assistance for families in need. I would love to be able to find a way to turn this into a profitable stay at home business but I am completely lost in how to get started and if there is even a need for it. Until then I would be interested in data entry or research virtual assistant. If anyone has an idea where to start or if there is something I can do until I can start I would be interested in talking with you. Thank you

Better yet, you can even upload your own book to one of the world’s largest book sellers: Amazon. With Amazon self-publishing, you set the price, retain the rights to your book, and get access to Amazon’s massive audience. For every sale, you keep 70% with Amazon taking the remainder as a fee. If you want to get started, check out Leslie Samuel's great guide to selling eBooks online or follow Tara Gentile on CreativeLive as she shows you how to use your existing body of work to write an eBook within the next week. Who knows, you might just write one of the best business books of this year!
Mechanical Turk is Amazon's take on micro-jobs. These are small miniscule-jobs that you can do for other people, which they call HITs, or Human Intelligence Tasks. These are super simple tasks that anyone can do. Some examples are listing off some URLs with certain kinds of images for one cent, or recording a few phrases with a microphone for 6 cents.
Create a killer course experience: With your course validated and in the works, you need to figure out how people will take it. Most course creators choose to host their courses from their own websites. This way, they get all the value of bringing customers back to their site on a regular basis. I host my own courses from a subdomain on my own site so I can easily add more. The course experience is incredibly important as well. And after trying most of the solutions, I highly recommend Teachable—an online platform designed specifically for courses.
•The website has no contact information. A legitimate business has a way for you to reach them. Look for an "About" page that offers information on the company or CEO, along with a phone number, address or contact email. (Try calling the number to see if anyone answers.) A website with only a contact form and no other way to get in touch with an actual human is suspicious.
I freelance a bit, along with doing some VA (virtual assistant) work for other bloggers. I also earn a bit with sponsored posts, affiliate sales, and advertising on my blog. I have also self-published a book, Intentional Marriage, and create printables which I sell in my shop. – Crystal at Serving Joyfully (Shannon here! Crystal is one of several VAs that I work with to help me with the blog. She is an absolute wiz with graphics and is responsible for many of the pretty images you see here on Affording Motherhood.)
This is a successful work at home program with unlimited potential. We'll show you EXACTLY what you need to do to make money posting ads for companies online. It runs virtually on autopilot. Once your ads are submitted, they can be making money for you over and over. In other words, you don't have to be sitting in front of your computer all day just to make money. You can go play golf with your friends or go shopping at the mall with your family. It's totally up to you. That's the beauty of this system.
Robo-advisors are diversified investment accounts that are automatically managed by a computer algorithm (as opposed to a human money manager). If you want to invest, but don’t have the money, or don’t want to invest with a money manager, robo-advisors are for you! Robo-advisors make investing easier—and cheaper—so they’re perfect for new investors.

Seven years ago, before I had children, I taught music full-time at a conservatory. I had 47 students. I left the conservatory when I had my first baby, and now I teach piano lessons in my home part-time during the day. I have four little ones, and the piano moms and dads babysit for me while I teach their children. In return, they get a discount on lessons.
Because of the booming popularity of audio and video, transcriptionists are finding work through a variety of different means. Many companies hire transcriptionists to turn their audio or video recordings into marketing or training materials. Video marketers (think YouTubers) may also hire transcriptionists to transcribe their recordings into written form so they can sell their services and products online. Law firms and government agencies also hire qualified legal transcriptionists to work for them.

I’m a mom to two little boys (1 and 3) and just found out baby #3 is on the way. I want to work from home, and have started selling Jamberry and Thirty One from home, but with my 30 hour/week job, it’s been hard to get a really great start (I have wonderful support, just having a hard time finding the time while balancing time with my boys). My current ‘real’ job involves social media posting, newsletter and flyer creation, emailing distribution lists, text updates, some event planning, etc. I LOVE my job, but don’t get along well with my boss, so I’m trying to find ways to recreate my $1200/mo contribution to our finances. Any suggestions?

Adelaide, I can tell you right now that you are not incompetent! You used the word “well” and “too” correctly. As an employer, I can’t even count how many applications I’ve filed to the back because of poor grammar! (some of you might be thinking why is she on this site if she has her own business… I don’t want to be at my business, I want to be able to pick up my girls from school!) I market for an online store by referring shoppers, but I can’t replace my income yet. Maybe when my student loans are paid! I’m making that my goal!

Awesome Hannah! I really felt like 6 months was the magic number with both of mine too, where we started getting back into a routine. I was just thinking about this today, and I really feel like there’s room for any blogger who is willing to be brave and share their unique perspective and story. You’re the only you! So don’t be intimidated by how many others there are. If you do decide to start one, feel free to email me! I’d love to answer any questions you might have. Have you thought about doing something with your graphic design on Fiverr? Or perhaps contact bloggers, as they often need help making nice Pinnable images.
After reading this blog I decided to try one of the places – Clickworker – thought it was right up my alley. I assume these are legit online businesses, but unfortunately, as soon as I signed up with all my information – my Facebook account was hacked! I’m concerned as to what else might happen, but hoping that was it and my account at Clickworker was closed fast enough. Just be careful….
Transcription work from home jobs involve listening to audio files and typing out what you hear. While some types of transcription (such as medical) require training, it is possible to break into general transcription with little to no past experience. Before you start digging through the companies below, you may want to read this post about what general transcription involves and this post about the equipment transcribers use.
