Veronica V., Have you found anything yet? You said you are great with customer service and sales. Have you ever thought about direct sales? I am a consultant for Rodan+Fields, an anti-aging company founded by the very same dermatologists that created ProActiv. We are not a party company (though if you like hosting parties you sure can). We don’t have any quotas. I would love to talk to you if interested! Thanks!
After earning a college degree in English, I married and had three kids. So now I’m a self taught seamstress and mostly take in clothes for alterations. With baby #3 very new, I’m not taking in much right now; my goal by next year is to bring in $800/mo. I’ve done everything from patching holes, recovering cushions, hemming prom dresses and fixing tattered toddler dress up clothes.
Wonderful article! I have been searching for years for a way to stay home with my 2 year old son. I finally found the answer! I am a weight management coach with a program called LTL (live the Lifestyle). It’s a program based on low glycemic eating. I teach clients how to eat right and exercise often. This program is part of a bigger company who also allows people to become distributors of other wonderful products like beauty products and isotonixs.
Fiverr: Israeli-based Fivver was started in 2010 by Shal Wininger and Micha Kaufam. It's a great resource for selling just about any service online. You can offer gigs as low as $5 but also get paid much more for upgrades and add-ons. There are plenty of providers earning 6 figures on Fiverr so it's definitely a worthwhile cause for generating a healthy income. Just ensure that you provide some serious value.
If my piece of content is so unique and valuable around hiking backpack recommendations, that other reputable outdoor websites are willing to link to it and build the page’s authority, then I’d have a very real opportunity to rank high in organic search for these search terms (meaning, my page will come up first when someone searches for hiking backpacks).
Anyone interested in making money online should be pursuing passive income, while also working on active income. There are loads of ways to generate an income passively on the internet, many of which start at the foundation of having a blog, generating substantial traffic and building an audience and a list. Is it easy? Nope. Is it worth it? It sure is. But that doesn't mean you need to start a blog to make money online today.
Travel blogging is a hard industry to break into. However, the rewards can be worth it, and let’s face it, who doesn’t want to be paid for traveling around the world! There are numerous ways to monetize a travel blog, but affiliate marketing should predominantly be your focus. On your blog, promote hotels, tours, equipment hire services, flights, and anything else travel related. Then take a cut of the proceeds as your audience books their holidays based on your recommendations.
Hi Emma, Sorry to hear about your job loss and we hope things are going better for you. The jobs and resources in this post have been researched and they are legitimate. My advice to you would be to determine what marketable skills you have that could help you earn an income from an online job. Can you type well? Are you a skilled writer or editor? Do you have amazing organizational skills? Are you good at problem solving? If you are still in need of a job you should look into customer service rep positions or maybe even look into direct sales if you are a people person. Good luck!
Research individual companies in your desired niche: If possible, it’s always better to become an affiliate directly with a company (if they have an internal affiliate program), as no one else will be dipping into your commission rate. This is the preferred route for most of the prominent affiliate marketers, including Pat Flynn. Unfortunately, it’s also the most work, as you’ll have to do the research yourself to see who offers programs (they’re usually listed in the website footer).
Etsy: While Etsy's popularity has declined recently, it's still a great resource for selling handmade items online. No need for complex ecommerce sites or merchant accounts or any sort of automation. The company takes a commission of every sale and charges a small listing fee per item. But many still use Etsy as their primary source of income. The best part is that you can also sell digital products on here such as poster designs.
Another strategy to make money online is to become a social marketing manager. Being present on social media is key for any business that wants to attract new customers, promote their products and grow their following. However, constantly posting, liking and commenting on the numerous social media channels is extremely time consuming. More and more businesses are recruiting social media managers to run and organize all their social media. And to save money, social media employees are often employed as online freelancers.
Going from two salaries down to one can be a challenge. But, for many moms, the harder challenge is leaving your little one at daycare all day. To help simultaneously provide an income and spend time with their children, many moms are turning to at-home work. Working from home allows moms to balance the financial needs of working with their desire to be the primary caregiver for their children.
While most of these companies advertise that you can earn upwards of $18 or so an hour, the reality is that you're not going to make that much once you figure in your gas expenses and wear and tear on your car. Also, work may not always come in consistently. I would recommend doing more than one of these if you really want to make it worth your while.
