This particular work-at-home opportunity takes a little more work experience in general than the other four on this list, but it pays better too. Search engine evaluators examine Internet search results and give feedback as to whether they are accurate, relevant, and spam-free. To do this, the evaluator must be knowledgeable about current culture and the Internet, with good communication skills. Sometimes a college degree is required or preferred, but direct experience as a search evaluator is usually not.
When was the last time you went to a new restaurant without looking it up online beforehand? Or bought a product that didn’t have at least a few 5-star reviews? It seems like more and more our world is run on reviews. And you can make money online by writing them. Get started by creating accounts on sites like Vindale research, Software Judge, FameBit, CrowdTap, Influence Central, and Modern Mom. However, before you run off and start writing, be sure to check the small print on each of these sites. Writing reviews isn’t a huge source of guaranteed income and you want to make sure that it’s worth your time before you get going.

Who knows, you might just write one of the best business books of this year!

Phone Work – These are jobs that will require you to use the phone as part of your job. Some may require a landline and/or a good quality headset while others may not. The jobs include customer service positions where you handle inbound calls; others are sales jobs, escalation support, telephone researcher positions, mystery shopping, technical support, virtual assistant and telemarketing positions.

Provide excellent customer service. Answer any questions buyers post as quickly as possible. Be professional and courteous. Positive communication builds your reputation with buyers and gets you return business. Also, package your product well and ship it out quickly. Allowing an item to become damaged or taking too long to ship can negatively affect your reputation among buyers. Wrap all items, especially fragile ones, in appropriate packaging. Commit to shipping items as soon as you receive payment.[32]
Don't forget to look at job sites that specialize in work-from-home jobs. If you don't know what you want to do and only know that you want to find some decent, legitimate work-from-home job opportunities, you might want to check out VirtualVocations.com, a website that specializes in telecommuting jobs around the country. In other words, that's their specialty – work-from-home jobs. Other websites to check out, where you may find work-from-home jobs include FlexJobs.com and PeoplePerHour.com.
Learn then selling guidelines. Each marketplace has guidelines that define what you can and cannot sell. State and federal laws also impact what items are prohibited. In general, you cannot sell alcohol, weapons, service contracts, animals or event tickets. Also, while not always prohibited, you may find restrictions on how you can sell items in some categories, such as art, gift cards and coupons.[27] eBay, Craigslist and Amazon publish these guidelines on their websites.
Some of the “gotcha” job offers from the past include check-cashing schemes, mystery shopping, medical billing “jobs” that require you to purchase expensive computer software, and craft-making jobs that ask you to pony up the cash for materials before you get started. And let’s not forget about the famous envelope-stuffing scam that was nothing more than a pyramid scheme designed to siphon money from as many people as possible.
Just ordered this book, Blogging for Profit without Selling Your Soul. Hope to get some great info and tips for starting a blog. I quit my job a couple of years ago to start an art business. I love to paint. It’s not as lucrative as I want it to be so I’m looking to make some additional income doing something I love (at home). Thanks for all the great ideas everyone has posted. I’m taking very good notes!
If you don’t mind doing other people’s chores, then TaskRabbit is a great option for making money online. Earn extra income by walking your neighbor’s dog or mowing Mr. Smith’s lawn. It might seem like not the most lucrative option, but the top taskers reportedly earn as much as $7000 a month, making this a full-time way to make money online for some.
CashCrate sends out literally thousands of payments a month to users just like you who spend time completing surveys and offers on CashCrate.com. How do they do it? So there I was stranded, unemployed, with all the bills to pay and a family to support. Where I lived, such jobs weren't easy to come by. So I decided to do a little research. I spent many sleepless nights on the web just searching for something to do, anything that could help support me and my family. I just wanted a way to make money, and not lose it, as I soon found to be the case with numerous internet scams.
Blogging is something that requires patience, persistence and discipline. It may mean writing everyday for over a year before you really start to see any money from it. There are exceptions to the rule, but from my dealings with other bloggers, it seems to be pretty common to spend one or even two years building your blog, your brand and your authority, before making any serious amount of money.

I just completed reading hundreds of posts relating to the vast opportunities to work from home. Some sell jewelry, some pedal cosmetics or essential oils. Those are great ideas for the natural-born salesperson. Some are bloggers and write for income. That sounds interesting but requires a great level of writing skill. I read several posts from the creative and crafty who actually create things to sell on a popular shopping site.
In addition to interacting with friends and strangers, social networking platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat can be used to make money. Companies and popular brands pay social media strategists to further boost the popularity of their products. With lots of competition around and the constantly shortening of attention time of online viewers, creativity is essential to create posts, videos etc that can go viral quickly and enhance the brand value. Remember, social media needs dedicated time and energy to stay relevant. Hence, you need to share posts regularly and interact with your followers on a regular basis.
In the mean time, are you a good writer and do you enjoy writing about money (making and saving money) related matters? I ask because I am actually looking for a freelance writer to help us writer more articles like this. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to give you a quick trial period to see if it works for both of us. Though you need a basic understanding of SEO as well.
My mind remains a blank slate. I’m not a salesperson, a lyrical genius, or crafty. After working as a RN for many years and struggling with my own health issues, I was forced to leave the only career I found true passion in. Two years ago, I rediscovered that passion for learning and became interested in. Sex Ed. Not the Birds and the Bees from middle school, but the deeper, more intimate details. After years of absorbing information, I found giving advice and sharing knowledge to other woman was as rewarding, if not more, than nursing. I’ve even worked with some men and a few couples who now report an active and fulfilling sex life. Finally, I feel I have regained my self worth and again feel the satisfaction of helping others.

Most platforms follow the process that will ask you to apply by filling in a simple form, and then a teaching demo will have to given their experts. Once selected, documentation and profile creation will be done, followed by training and induction webinar. Once you attend the webinar, you will be listed as a teacher and will get your online sessions to conduct. You don’t have to invest anything in the production, or even figure out how it will turn out in the end. The production company takes care of all of that. All you need to do is write up your idea, and submit it to a company like Juma TV.  Sharing ideas for television likely won’t make you a ton of money. But, it’s a fun way to get a little extra cash flow, and know that you’re doing your part to improve what’s on the screen.

I worked as a nurse for 10 years but had to quit to stay home with my now 2 year old twins when they were 7 months old. My daughter had a seizure and it didn’t make sense to stay. I am glad there is a list like this. I stayed home and just spend time with my babies most of the last year and a half but recently in May started with Origami Owl as a way to have fun and spend time with other female adults. Later I joined Plexus just to get the discount myself and I have been doing amazing both in my wellness journey & making quite a bit of money off of it also. I am hoping to make it into a full time income before my kids go to kindergarten so when they go to school I don’t have to go back to work. I just don’t want to send them to daycare during the summers so unless I find a job as a school nurse I plan to stay home. Life is too short & they stay little for too short of a time to send them to daycare for someone else to raise them for me.

I’m a SAHM to two littles and I’m a consultant for Rodan+Fields. The doctors who created Proactiv now have an anti-aging pharmaceutical line. They were a #1 selling clinical line for Nordstrom’s before entering direct sales in 2008. This is the FiRST company with an established brand to ever enter direct sales. We get a huge amount of press coverage in major magazines and we were just named the fourth largest premium skin care brand in the U.S. after Clinque, Estée Lauder and Lancôme. This company is changing the face of direct sales as we know it. I would love to share more. teambarrett.myrandf.biz
There are different programs, depending on your interests. The one I am most familiar with is Bradley, and they have training across the country every year. The training does cost, but it is a wonderful program. I went through Bradley classes with my husband when we were pregnant with our first and it was just the best experience for both of us. You can find more about training here.

I cannot thank you enough for the info you provided! I went back to work before my son turned 4. Now he’s 12 & I feel like I’ve missed out on so many summers & just time together because I’m working 5 days a week. I plan to take a serious look at the opportunities you listed and hopefully I can find a way to stay home and still earn an income. Plus, I drive 60 miles a day, saving almost $300 a month in gas alone would go a long way! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
With so many businesses operating mostly, or even completely, online, it’s no wonder that many hire virtual assistants to help keep them organized and complete administrative tasks. According to the International Virtual Assistants Association, these workers are “independent contractors who (from a remote location, usually their home or office) support multiple clients in a variety of industries by providing administrative, creative, and technical services.”
“I love working for TTEC@home, I’m a single parent who moved to a new state where I had no family or friends. I started a job where I felt like I was working just to pay daycare for my four-year-old son. My son hated the daycare and I never had time to spend with him. I was referred to TTEC and I'm in love with it. Now, I put my son on the bus and log in for work. By the time I get off work, my son is almost home. It’s wonderful!”
